It’s a good day for Donald Trump voters in Louisiana.
Today, seven delegates officially switched to Trump after his massive sweep in the Indiana primary, which ultimately led to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Ohio Gov. John Kasich dropping out.
Five delegates, which were originally pledged to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), and two uncommitted delegates, who were threatening to pledge to Cruz after the Louisiana primary, all switched months after Trump won with 41.6 percent.
At the time, Trump said it would be unfair considering he won the state for Rubio delegates and uncommitted delegates to pledge to the second-place finisher of the state, threatening a potential lawsuit.
Those delegates, though, have now all officially switched to Trump, according to a report in Newsday. The once-committed Rubio delegates told Newsday that while their first choice was Rubio, Trump is the choice of millions of voters and the presumptive GOP nominee.
