Airbnb Steps Up To The Plate By Offering Free Rooms And Homes For Flood Victims

The room sharing service Airbnb encourages its hosts to step up to the plate and help flood victims. The sharing service is now listing rooms and even entire homes in Southeast Louisiana for no cost to evacuees. Airbnb is even waiving service fees for those who have been displaced by the storm.

Most of the homes and rooms for rent are in New Orleans, but there are free listings offered in Baton Rouge, Breaux Bridge, and Arnaudville.

We love Airbnb because it helps those who have spare rooms turn them into cash. It’s also good for those who have second homes to rent out to tourists. The sharing economy makes it easier than ever before to become an entrepreneur.

Now it helps bring people together in this terrible tragedy. Airbnb is providing a mechanism for people to help their neighbors in need.

Louisianians are more than willing to help themselves and each other when government gets out of the way. Kudos to Airbnb for providing a platform for homeowners to help their neighbors.
