By now you’re probably familiar with the inexplicable thuggery the cable news has-been CNN has been perpetrating on the Reddit user who created the now-famous meme of Donald Trump figuratively throttling the network. Felicia Cravens had a pretty good summary of the facts this morning, if you’re not.
It was foreseeable that to identify someone on the internet for coming up with a funny meme substituting a CNN logo for Vince McMahon’s head and threaten to doxx him for that meme would generate a reaction not entirely consistent with good public-relations outcomes. Strangely CNN didn’t recognize those foreseeable results in advance; they’re recognizing them now, as smartasses from Maine to Hawaii are now rushing to Photoshop to produce creative ridicule.
Here’s just a taste of that, compiled by Mike Cernovich…
We have more than this, of course. But first – here’s how out of touch CNN is…

Exactly how is that going to end well?
Here’s a valid point…
CNN reporters now going after anonymity
CNN has relied on anon sources for dozens of nonsense Trump/Russia stories, incl retracted stories https://t.co/oHvWbLKhmB

It’s early yet, and our suspicion is the ridicule machine is really just getting cranked up.
If it should happen that self-destructive activities like this were to result in the destruction of CNN’s market share, we’d be OK with that. It’s a good bet that somebody else besides that network’s current management – or ownership, for that matter – would do a better job than Jeffrey Zucker and his cabal of children in charge.
