Santa Muerte Is Reason Enough to Be Concerned About the Border

For those of us interested only in “politics,” this has everything to do with cartels and the border.

Lately Walt Garlington and I have been tipping our caps to each other, certainly less than I’ve needed to. His ongoing work exploring the reality of good and evil is necessary and meritorious, and certainly a topic we’d better start seeing as more a bedrock of the political problems we have instead of a sideshow we separate. I invite you to check out my KNIGHT TIME podcast (full episodes and/or shorts) to see how I mesh them. My plan for this week is to try, amidst the craziness of all the new stuff flying in concerning child exploitation and the evil of the entertainment industry, to produce a show that explores what we’ll call the “Diddy” story, Americans’ obsession with the entertainment world, and Christian catechism involving the First Commandment.

On a more personal level that is much bigger than just two men, Walt is one reason why I am praying East and West unite again in terms of the apostolic faith.

That tip of the cap complete, here I have included two videos, the first being an 11-minute pull clip from the original two-hour long interview between Dr Taylor Marshall and Jesse Romero, who, as the YouTube description box states, “exposes the attack on the Virgin Mary with the dark secrets of the cult known as Santa Muerte. This cult is worshiping a demon known as Santa Muerte, and they’re doing so in a very creepy way. Jesse and Taylor discuss the disturbing techniques used by the Santa Muerte cult in their worship of the demon Santa Muerte. This video is sure to horrify you and make you see the evil of the Santa Muerte cult.”

To my non-Catholic and non-Orthodox friends, I invite you to delve in despite what might be an immediate hesitation or even rejection of this story because Christ’s mother is involved. Speaking of the bridging of religious gaps, I believe this could be a fruitful example of the scene in the Gospel of St Matthew 12:22-26. This passage is taken from the Douay-Rheims translation of the Bible:

22 Then was offered to him one possessed with a devil, blind and dumb: and he healed him, so that he spoke and saw.  23 And all the multitudes were amazed, and said: Is not this the son of David?  24 But the Pharisees hearing it, said: This man casteth not out the devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.  25 And Jesus knowing their thoughts, said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself shall be made desolate: and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.

26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself: how then shall his kingdom stand?

If the demons use Santa Muerte to mock Christ’s mother, and, as many claim, Christ’s mother is, at best, not to be afforded much attention and at worst a demon come as the Lady of Guadalupe, we might envision Christ saying the same thing that he said to the Pharisees above.

One thing that might make sense to non-Catholics/Orthodox is that the reason the devil hates Mary so much is because she was a mere creature that God chose to elevate as the mother of the second Person of the Trinity. Lucifer’s pride couldn’t handle that, and he hates hates hates the little Jewish girl who was raised by God’s own choice to such an exalted status. He understands God’s greatness; he cannot, however, reconcile hers because of God.

Just think about how people hold on to grudges over the stupidest of things. Now juxtapose that with the workings of eternity, of heaven, of hell.

Every time she visits, it is an exercise of God’s divine justice. Satan is humiliated and punished over and over again for his eternal sin every time that little Jewish girl is even mentioned.

That is some of the theology of Mary. It is actually quite stunning and beautiful, and I ask you to have an open mind. Of course it is not an understatement to say that the vast majority of Catholics don’t even study their own faith or know why we do things the way we do them, so this invitation is to them as well–perhaps more so. We have no excuse.

I have thrice walked out of restaurants or convenience stores that have the following demonic material displayed or are selling the merchandise. It is NOT JUST ART. It is one more way I fight the holy war, one you certainly can do as well. Join us. Unite the clans!

First is the clip. Second is the full video.
