Retiring Sen. George Voinovich (R-OH), who helped spearhead the auto bailouts and torpedoed John Bolton’s nomination as UN Ambassador during the previous administration, is meeting with President Obama today, presumably about budget matters and debt.
Malkin fears that Voinovich is going over the wire and giving Obama his 60th vote for health care to replace Democrat Paul Kirk, whose seat will turn Republican when Scott Brown beats Martha Coakley in Massachusetts’ special election today.
Correspondents who have reached Voinovich’s office today have been told the Senator has not changed his vote.
Nervous times, indeed.
