This wouldn’t be the first time Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer got the best of the Obama administration’s logic on the immigration question, but it might be that Brewer has the administration completely tongue-tied on the question of why, if Arizona’s new immigration law is unconstitutional because states and localities don’t have the authority to make immigration policies, the scores of cities and towns designating themselves “sanctuary cities” where law enforcement won’t address illegal immigration aren’t facing federal lawsuits.
