Remember, the Congress that just ended was led by the same majority which has been in place since January of 2007. Nancy Pelosi has been the Speaker of the House since that date.

When Pelosi became Speaker, the federal deficit was $162 billion. It’s now $1.29 trillion.

When she took over as Speaker, the unemployment rate was 4.6 percent. It’s now 9.8 percent.

When she took over as Speaker, the Dow was at 12,938 (Jan. 5, 2007). Yesterday it checked in at 11,559.
