Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the reappointment of Dianne Sasser to the Louisiana Board for Hearing Aid Dealers.

The Louisiana Board for Hearing Aid Dealers serves to regulate the issuance of hearing aid dealer licenses and related services.

According to the statute, the board is comprised of nine gubernatorial appointments, subject to senate confirmation, including the state health officer or their designee and a member sixty years of age or over who represents elderly consumers of Louisiana. The remaining eight members are qualified hearing aid dealers selected from nominations submitted by the Louisiana Society of Hearing Aid Specialists from six hearing aid dealer districts established by the statute.

Dianne Sasser, of Ruston, is a hearing aid dealer for Southern States Hearing Aid Centers. Sasser was nominated for reappointment by the Louisiana Society of Hearing Aid Specialists to serve as a qualified hearing aid dealer from the 3rd Hearing Aid Dealer District, as required by statute.
