The two U.S. congressmen who represent the Acadiana region appear at odds over who should represent Louisiana’s coastline after redistricting.

There’s also a growing feud over whether the Houma-Thibodaux area should remain intact inside a single congressional district.

For now, it’s all speculation; any maps and scenarios at this point are essentially guesses since the final redistricting plan will have to be channeled through the state Legislature and finally approved by the U.S. Justice Department.
