OK, crime isn’t funny.

At least, not most of the time. In this case it’s a little funny. Shake your head and say WTF kind of funny.

You’ve got to feel for the folks who live off Airline Highway in New Orleans just on the Orleans side of the parish line. It’s not like that’s a great neighborhood and it’s not like anybody over there is made of money. They’re busting their butts trying to get by.

So it’s bad enough that some slimeball who lives at a no-tell motel down the street has been knocking them over. It’s even worse that he’s got a harem of transvestite hookers going door to door selling magazines and casing houses. That’s the kind of thing that makes you throw your hands up and say “screw it.”

NOPD says they caught the guy. They also say they’re working on shutting down the London Lodge – because there’s prostitution there.

Naw, really? A motel on Airline Highway? Who knew?
