Schizophrenia

One of the strange dichotomies noted with respect to the Democratic Party is their drive to interpret “progress” by denigrating the Constitution. It’s the “living Document” theory. Their thinking’s in conflict with their stated goals of progressively moving America’s people toward the Golden Sunset they predict if we’ll just understand everything they say is right and everything anybody else thinks is wrong. They want everything to change and they want it to be progressively balanced against today’s issues. But they want elemental parts of what makes America what it is, the greatest nation on the planet, to remain untouched. You can’t deny and reject the Constitution and still have America.

America was defined by the people of its time; not the bureaucrats and governmental lackeys wanting to change it the most for their own benefit.

Democrats want all the New Deal/Great Society programs left alone. They want their cows treated as sacrosanct while social, economic and ideological starvation affects the general welfare of the American people. The holier and more strongly inviolate they make the protected, sacred herd of bloated social programs; the better.

Maybe a dichotomy or division into two mutually contradictory thought processes isn’t strong enough.

Schizophrenic might be a better term. This would better describe their stance on many issues. Collectively they display: mild to moderate dementia (Maxine Waters), emotional blunting (Barack Obama), intellectual deterioration (Joe Biden, John Kerry), social isolation (Obama again), disorganized speech and behavior (Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi), behavioral delusions (Anthony Weiner and a bipartisan host of other sexually deviants) and hallucinations (the rest of those believing liberal policies create jobs in the private sector).

Progress is a constant, inexorable thing. Men’s mind-probes propel it. Mankind draws its self-image from progress; the depth, breadth, length and duration of it. The search for progress has always been the propellant guide forcing man to explore not only the strength of his dreams but of his convictions. Progress is a dynamic man wants more than anything else; not only for himself but for his progeny.

But, where progress is essential to the growth of a people because it’s the heartbeat of a political bloodline stretching into the future; tradition is the very heart pumping that blood. The contagion of freedom fires the very blood of man as defined by the Constitution.

America is defined by the Constitution. It’s not abstract thoughts and ideas, it’s the needs men and woman codified, rendering them inviolate in their structure. It’s not, “…we think there might be the chance we have certain opportunities to occasionally do one thing or another”. American is defined as it’s written in the written first volley, the Declaration of Independence, fired by a people tired of a senseless, oppressive sovereign detached from his people and mindless of their needs. It resolutely commands, not merely suggests that: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness – That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men deriving their powers from the consent of the governed.”

Profiteers and plunderers can’t merely walk past this great document and say “… oh, please. We’re so far past that now”. Congress swore to defend that Constitution, born of that Declaration, made by the honored dead of the Revolution. It’s their job to defend its living soul because we are NOT “so far past that now”. To do less would descend us into the darkness of men’s greed. Government would revert to a socialized, communal shadow of what America isn’t meant to be.

There’s a darkening pall cast over the greatness of America; the Constitution is the light can lead us back to our senses. “We the people in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United States of America.”

Democrats want America, where the chosen few hold dominion over those they deem unfit to lead.

We can’t allow that.
