No, I’m not going to do a post about Romney winning Arizona and Michigan.
Because he really didn’t win Michigan. He got more votes, but from the looks of it the delegate count was probably more like a wash. And Arizona wasn’t a surprise.
But that’s not why. The real reason is, I’ve decided I don’t really care. It doesn’t matter who the GOP nominates, because any one of them is better than Obama and any one of them will beat Obama.
A fish sandwich will beat Obama.
You can’t get re-elected president when unemployment is over 8 percent – we all know it’s a hell of a lot more than that and that the official numbers are a fraud – and when Iran is about to get nukes to start World War III, and when you’ve run up $5 trillion in debt with nothing to show for it. The American people are smarter than that.
Obama hasn’t helped any of the constituencies he turned out in 2008. He hasn’t helped college kids, he hasn’t helped blacks, he hasn’t helped Latinos, he hasn’t helped Jews – go down the list and none of them are even remotely better off. And his appeal is solely based on constituencies and interest groups.
He’s a disaster.
And this business in Afghanistan last week shows that it’s going to be even worse than anybody thought. When the Afghans are engaged in murderous riots over a few Korans that were already defiled getting burned in a trash pile, and Obama actually makes it worse by apologizing, it’s such a cockup that not only has he weakened our grip on Afghanistan, he’s ruined the morale of our troops who have no more faith in the mission there, have no further desire to help the Afghans, see no prospect of victory and solely want to go home.
But what’s more than that, Obama has infuriated Americans – who rightly see Afghans as not worth apologizing to, for whatever the slight.
And so tonight, we’ll salute his incompetence with a musical tribute.
