The Jefferson Saga Continues…

Posted without comment – which is very, very difficult…

LSU football signee Rickey Jefferson, the younger brother of former Tigers quarterback Jordan Jefferson, was arrested in Metairie last month.

Col. John Fortunato with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed the charges, which stem from Jefferson allegedly punching a plain clothes detective.

The detective was trying to arrest another teenager at a Mardi Gras parade in early February. The charges were first reported by WVUE in New Orleans on Tuesday night.

The 18-year-old Destrehan High School senior football player is charged with resisting arrest by violence. The report said the arrest happened during a patrol by the department’s narcotics division.

Another teen, identified as Joe Sharp, is also accused of punching the detective as he was trying to handcuff a third teen, identified as David Sampson.

The three teens allegedly interrupted the detective’s attempt to take a fourth unnamed teen into custody.

Feel free to discuss.
