Britain’s greatest prime minister died last night of a stroke. She was 87.

We’d like to offer a tribute to Margaret Thatcher as she ascends to her rightful place in heaven, but we can’t do better than the Heritage Foundation did with this short video.

The thing is, we need many more Margaret Thatchers. We need people with the strength and passion she had. We need people who refuse to accept the civilizational decline socialism inevitably brings on and who will fight to roll it back everywhere it’s found.

Britain’s conservatives today lack that strength and passion. America’s Republican politicians too often lack that fight despite an example just as profound in Thatcher’s friend Ronald Reagan.

Hopefully today, Thatcher will be remembered for the titan she was. And hopefully we can draw fresh inspiration from her achievements.
