Chris Hadfield’s Space Oddity

This might be better than anything David Bowie ever did.

Largely because Bowie might have sung about space, but Bowie never actually made it up there. Whereas Chris Hadfield, who’s a Canadian with some mad engineering and pilot skills as well as pickin’ and singin’ skills, is up there now.

Apparently they don’t give you a whole lot to do on the International Space Station. So Hadfield figured he’d cut a video covering Bowie’s Space Oddity song. With some zero-grav and orbital earth shots to boot.

That’s Hadfield singing and playing guitar, by the way. He’s cuttin’ an album from up in space. Seriously. This was the first song.
