This might be better than anything David Bowie ever did.
Largely because Bowie might have sung about space, but Bowie never actually made it up there. Whereas Chris Hadfield, who’s a Canadian with some mad engineering and pilot skills as well as pickin’ and singin’ skills, is up there now.
Apparently they don’t give you a whole lot to do on the International Space Station. So Hadfield figured he’d cut a video covering Bowie’s Space Oddity song. With some zero-grav and orbital earth shots to boot.
That’s Hadfield singing and playing guitar, by the way. He’s cuttin’ an album from up in space. Seriously. This was the first song.
