Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry, Mike Strain, will be the keynote speaker at the Ascension GOP Roundtable, sponsored by Ascension Republican Women. Since his election in 2007, Mike Strain has completely revitalized and streamlined the LA Department of Agriculture and Forestry. By statement, Strain is committed to ensuring our food is safe, our fiber production is among the best and our animals are strong and healthy. This presentation will highlight the innovative ways in which he is accomplishing this end.

The theme this month for the St. Theresa Food Bank, is “Red Beans and Rice” featuring Louisiana products. Members and guests are asked to bring either dried or canned red or white beans and packages of rice to this and any ARW event.
