SARGE: The Wolf’s Lair, Revisited

Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates levels harsh judgments about President Obama’s leadership and his commitment to the Afghanistan war in a new “tell-all” book; “Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War” based on his personal experience of sufferance under Obama’s administration. Gates concluded by early 2010 the president “doesn’t believe in his own strategy, and doesn’t consider the war to be his. For him, it’s all about getting out.”

The White House responded: “As has always been the case, the President welcomes differences of view among his national security team, which broaden his options and enhance our policies,” Hayden said in the statement. “The President wishes Secretary Gates well as he recovers from his recent injury, and discusses his book.”

What wasn’t said is: “the (p)resident remains of the belief any differences of view or opinion from either those within his own party or coming from the Republican Party are of no value and therefore easily and readily available for summary rejection and demonstrably divisive, as well as insulting denunciation based on personal distaste for anything remotely resembling American values and Constitutional adherence to the Bill of Rights.”

“Gates… praises Obama as ‘a man of personal integrity’ even as he faults his leadership”. This would seem correct as Obama hasn’t once strayed from his Marxist/socialist teachings and leanings. He’s shown great integrity in his holding firm to Marx’s tenets.

He’s regularly and steadily shown his position and posture as a Marxist ideologue. Recognize this in his unprecedented stripping us of our deterrent nuclear stockpiles as Iran, North Korea and Al Qaeda/ Islamic Fundamentalist whackos stride toward the brink of nuclear war through the development of their own stockpiles of these winged messengers of genocide. Witness his weak-kneed groveling in the presence of Arab potentates and communist “strongmen”. Understand this as you witness those closest to this Throne of Thorns finally admitting the Emperor not only has no clothes but displays his diseased, scabrous, necrotic ideals and dogma conspicuously. He demands we inherit it all after he leaves for warmer climes.

Gates has no great admiration or love for Joe Biden either. I guess the harlequin’s banter has finally been recognized as no more than the babblings of a fool. It appears Biden (in his efforts to appear relevant) regularly displayed his contempt for our highest military leaders. As Obama’s supposed “closest advisor” Joe Biden was stated to be “one of the leading statesmen of his time, and has helped advance America’s leadership in the world,” by National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden. “President Obama relies on his good counsel every day.”

Hell Yeah! Everybody needs a comedic pick me up daily. Remember: it was Joe Biden said Obama had a “big stick” and I’m sure Biden inspected it daily for signs of excessive wear and tear after Obama stuck It to America daily. Gates says Biden was “poisoning the well” against the military with “aggressive, suspicious, and sometimes condescending and insulting questioning of our military leaders.” These are guys spent decades learning their jobs and Biden can’t even claim one day’s service in defense of this country. Now it appears the troll has been working judiciously to undermine America.

Hayden went on to say Obama “disagrees with Secretary Gates’ assessment” of the vice president.

Gates addresses what he calls “breach(es) of faith” by Obama. Initially this was noted when the issue of “don’t ask; don’t tell was to be removed as a policy in the military. Obama went against a presupposed understanding there would be NO change in the military’s stance on the issue. The second “breach of faith” was conducted concerning defense spending,. Gates writes: “I was extremely angry with President Obama”. “I felt he had breached faith with me . . . on the budget numbers.” As with “don’t ask, don’t tell,” “I felt that agreements with the Obama White House were good for only as long as they were politically convenient.” (Emphasis is mine)

Gates continues:  “I never confronted Obama directly over what I (as well as [Hillary] Clinton, [then-CIA Director Leon] Panetta, and others) saw as the president’s determination that the White House tightly control every aspect of national security policy and even operations. His White House was by far the most centralized and controlling in national security of any I had seen since Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger ruled the roost.” Being compared to Richard Nixon is NOT an accolade.

It sounds reminiscent of ol’ Adolph at the Wolf’s Lair. Der Furhead demands he alone control the military as he marches his little men across the map table like so many pawns. Meanwhile the fuze is lit, and as Obama’s tenure as (p)resident winds down, the whole thing is readying to blow up in his face. Hitler survived.

Will Obama’s legacy do the same?
