The Chris McDaniel camp is getting nervous today amid reports of heavy turnout in black precincts in Mississippi, which they take as evidence Thad Cochran’s attempts to win the runoff election in that state’s GOP Senate primary without a majority of GOP voters may prove more successful than expected.
We still doubt the “expand the electorate” strategy is going to work for Cochran, but we’ll see.
