Hispanics Want More Obama Executive Amnesty

For a majority of Hispanics, President Obama’s executive amnesty to allow illegal immigrants to remain in the country without facing deportation was not enough. A wide majority, a whopping 73 percent, think Obama should make another executive decision regarding immigration if Congress does not act on the issue.

When asked if Obama should give executive amnesty and work permits to illegal immigrants “who do not have children and are working in the agriculture, restaurant or hotel service” if Congress does not enact an amnesty bill, 73% of Latinos said Obama should “use additional executive orders” to protect all illegal immigrants.

According to the Latino Decisions poll, a total of 66 percent of Hispanics believe Obama should give out more executive orders on amnesty to 5-6 million illegal immigrants who will currently not be protected under the first set of executive orders. Only about 24 percent said Obama should not hand out more executive amnesty orders.

The Latino Decisions poll was conducted from November 20 through 22, and its margin of error is +/- 4.9 percent.
