Sidney Torres Unleashes ‘Demand A Plan’ Campaign Against Mitch Landrieu

When Sidney Torres, the famed, rockstar-like entrepreneur whose waste pickup company took over cleaning up the French Quarter a few years ago, made headlines last week as he criticized New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu for allowing crime in the city to get as bad as it is now, many assumed Torres was just putting in his two cents.

But, that’s not the case.

Torres has launched a full campaign against the Landrieu administration, claiming the New Orleans mayor has not done enough to keep the city safe and specifically the French Quarter. Now, there are two “Demand A Plan” commercials running through Facebook and on TV stations, requesting that New Orleanians demand a crime strategy from Landrieu.

Also, Torres has created the Keep the French Quarter Safe Facebook page, where every crime in the area is chronicled.
