Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is Hollywood’s new ‘It Girl’ in the 2016 presidential race.
Hollywood’s elite, like Susan Sarandon, Olivia Wilde and Edward Norton, are all backing the Massachusetts liberal in 2016, not former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Though Warren has said she will not run for the presidency in 2016, Hollywood’s elite are forming a group called “Artists for Warren,” saying in a letter that they demand she run.
“Senator Warren, we’re ready to show you that you have the support needed to enter this presidential race,” the letter says. “We’re ready to fight with you, Senator Warren. Please, run for President.”
Warren’s Political Action Committee (PAC) seems to have ripped-off Clinton’s, calling itself “Ready for Warren.” Clinton’s PAC is known as “Ready for Hillary.”
You may remember Warren during her Senate run when she claimed that she is Native American, citing that her family dates back to the Trail of Tears, though those claims are widely unsubstantiated. When Warren applied and was accepted at Harvard Law School, she wrote that she was Native American.
