It seems former Secretary of State, and leading Democratic presidential nominee for 2016, Hillary Clinton has more in common with former Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) than both being blonde Democrats who are part of established political dynasties.
Remember back in 2014, when we at the Hayride reported extensively on Landrieu’s use of illegal taxpayer-funded private flights, which her campaign blamed on the private flight company?
Landrieu ended up breaking federal law 43 times by charging taxpayers for private plane flights to campaign fundraising events, costing taxpayers $33,727.02.
Well, Clinton seems to have an affinity for private flights that taxpayers pay for as well.
Clinton, who keep in mind has millions between she and her husband former President Bill Clinton, spent $300,000 on taxpayer-funded private flights before her 2008 presidential bid.
Here’s an easy-to-read chart of Clinton’s frivolous spending on the back of taxpayers by USA Today:
Though Landrieu did in fact break federal law, she has never been formally charged with misuse of taxpayer dollars, and we do not expect she will be anytime soon.
