Jim Hawthorne’s Final Signoff From Omaha Last Night

Well worth seeing, as it’s the end of an era. Legendary sportscaster Jim Hawthorne, the Voice of the Tigers, is stepping down from calling LSU Baseball games with the end of this season, and he’ll retire completely after the football and basketball seasons to come in the next year.

So with the 8-4 loss to TCU at the College World Series last night, which sent the Tigers home following a 54-12 season, Hawthorne signed off for good as the voice of Tiger baseball.

Thanks for the great memories, Jim. You’ll be missed.
