…..they’re both sort of irrelevant.
Rick Santorum’s latest campaign stop in Iowa drew one supporter. We’ve even double-checked the story to make sure it was not a false story from TheOnion.com.
Apparently, Santorum showed up to a restaurant to greet voters in Iowa and one woman, Peggy Toft from the local county’s Republican Party Committee was there waiting for the 2016 presidential-hopeful.
Of course, because Santorum is a Republican, the story has blown up and is being covered by every major media outlet. But, when Sandra Fluke grew a tiny little crowd like Santorum a couple years ago, the media was pretty silent.
While campaigning for President Obama against Mitt Romney in 2012, Fluke, who was known for whining about birth control, held a campaign rally in a random parking lot, only to have a handful of supporters show up.
Here’s a couple photos from Fluke’s event:
Santorum and Fluke essentially had the same outcome at their campaign ‘rallies’, which prompts the question ‘How relevant are these two?’ Nonetheless, Santorum will take heat for it, while Fluke’s irrelevance was largely ignored.
