Outgoing Attorney General Buddy Caldwell (it’s so great to finally type that) was crushed Saturday night by Jeff Landry. Caldwell then stood up to give his concession speech, but before that he must have hit the bar.

What resulted was a drunken rant about how great his office was, how Landry is inexperienced, and implying that Landry was about to have a mass firing at the Attorney General’s office. Caldwell also included plenty of condensending remarks towards Landry.

To top it all off, Caldwell attacked Landry for questioning his (nonexistent) integrity. He even had the audacity to demand an apology from Landry.

Chris Gary at Cajun Conservatism thankfully cut the drunken rant and posted it on YouTube.

Instead of taking the classy way out like David Vitter did, Caldwell decided to go out in the most graceless way possible.

Good riddance.
