If the Louisiana Senate race was fought in the UFC, Rob Maness would be walking away with it. Maness won the endorsement of yet another UFC fighter yesterday. UFC Hall of Fame fighter Pat Miletech signed on with Maness calling him “a warrior in the United States Senate willing to fight for the Constitution.”
Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Fame fighter and former Welterweight Champion of the world, Pat Miletich has endorsed retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Rob Maness for United States Senate in Louisiana. Miletich will appear with Col. Maness at events in Louisiana this summer. He is the 3rd UFC legend to support the campaign of Col. Maness, following previous endorsements from Tim Kennedy and Chael Sonnen.
Miletich said, “I’m proud to endorse an American patriot like Col. Rob Maness for United States Senate. As a UFC Hall of Fame fighter and constitutionalist above all else, I believe we desperately need a warrior in the United States Senate willing to fight for the Constitution and unafraid to stand up to the political elites. I’m 100% confident that the Colonel will be unafraid and unintimidated to be a bold advocate for liberty, even if that means withstanding the ruthless attacks that will surely come from the leftists Democrats and the spineless Republican leadership. We need someone in the Senate who on day one will be a leader in the fight to save the Republic and will stand side by side with Senators like Rand Paul to protect our constitutional liberties. In short, I’m endorsing Col. Maness because unlike so many others who may talk a good game, I know he WON’T BACK DOWN.”
Maness said, “I’m honored to earn the support of another ultimate fighting legend like Pat Miletich. Not only is he famous for his work inside the UFC cage, he is renowned for his work outside of it, training military and law enforcement officials across the country in Mixed Martial Arts. Like me, Pat recognizes that the career politicians in Washington have failed to honor their oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. As a United States Senator, I will never back down in the face of adversity and will always put my oath to defend the Constitution above all else. I look forward to campaigning with Pat in Louisiana this Summer and directly engaging Louisiana’s large Mixed Martial Arts community. ”
Maness Campaign Manager Andy Surabian tells The Hayride that Maness plans to do a series of campaign events in Mixed Martial Arts gyms across Louisiana starting in July with Miletich. It’s a part of the campaign’s “alpha male” image they’re constructing around Maness. Plus the MMA community has strong libertarian leanings, which should be a natural Maness constituency.
