Video Highlights Of The Baton Rouge Flooding You Might Not Have Seen

And to start with, here’s perhaps the most dramatic rescue of the entire event – it’s a few guys on a boat who managed to save a woman and her dog from a car that was sinking beneath the waves…

Now for some drone footage. This was Pumpkin Center, in Tangipahoa Parish, on Saturday…

The same drone operator was in Denham Springs yesterday and shot the new Juban Crossing commercial area, complete with the Rouse’s Supermarket there. If you look hard about 25 seconds in you can see the waterline where the maximum flooding took place.

That matters, because of this video from the Baton Rouge Advocate inside the store yesterday…

Just be thankful internet video doesn’t include smells – because that Rouse’s is not going to be fragrant for some time.

Here’s a clip from Sunday, on Comite Drive, as the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was doing a rescue by boat. Check out the current coming off the Comite River and how fast it was…
