John Kennedy (R-Louisiana), who had come out in favor of Judge Neil Gorsuch’s nomination last week (hardly a surprise, to be sure), is asked about a potential filibuster of the nomination, and he notes that a purely partisan filibuster of a Supreme Court judge has never succeeded in American history. He calls Gorsuch a “rock star” and disparages the idea of filibustering him in no uncertain terms.
