That’s what a couple of New Orleans talk radio hosts are claiming.

Kaare Johnson of 1280 AM is also reporting it. Here are some tweets he sent out today.

Oh boy. Mitch is removing one monument tonight and one tomorrow. The contractor is "big yellow". NO idea how this is being paid for.

The Hayride has seen unconfirmed reports stating that the monument coming down tonight is the Liberty Place memorial near the Mississippi River. It is unclear what the second monument is.

The demolition of the monuments is being paid for by an anonymous donor.
