There Are Now Allegations Of Actual Rape Made Against Harvey Weinstein…

…including one from Asia Argento, the Italian actress. None of any of this is much of a surprise, of course – everybody following this story more or less assumed Weinstein was running a casting couch and was also engaged in serial sexual abuse. But there are now three separate rape accusations, not to mention reports of Weinstein’s unwanted advances coming from Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow.

And Mira Sorvino. And Rosanna Arquette.

Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow are the latest women to accuse movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of trying to force himself on them – as three other women today said the Hollywood executive raped them.

Italian star Asia Argento told the New Yorker that Weinstein raped her in 1997 at a party hosted by Miramax at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc. She claims the mogul led her to an empty room and asked her to give him a massage.

She reluctantly agreed, and halfway through he began to perform oral sex on her despite her repeated request for him to stop. Aspiring actress Lucia Evans and another unnamed woman accused him of rape as well according to the article.

Jolie was filming ‘Playing By Heart for Weinstein when he made unwanted advances on her in a hotel room.

‘I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did,’ Jolie told the New York Times.

‘This behavior towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable.’

Paltrow meanwhile said that the man who launched her career sexually harassed her at his Beverly Hills hotel when she was just 22, and that it almost lost her a big role.

Rosanna Arquette and Mira Sorvino also state that the powerful Hollywood executive forced himself upon them, but that they were able to fight off his sexual advances.

Soon after, the two women say their careers began to suffer.

We want to be careful not to blame the victims here, one reason for which being that Harvey Weinstein is hardly the only movie mogul in Hollywood making such demands on the actresses – so the real question is whether Gwyneth Paltrow or Mira Sorvino wanted to act in movies, or go home and get a real job.

That’s worth debating. One reason why we’re so disgusted with Hollywood as an industry is that (1) it’s a place where the higher-ups can get away with treating the have-nots in such an abusive fashion, and (2) so many of the have-nots are willing to prostitute themselves to a Harvey Weinstein.

It’s an industry full of badly damaged people who deal in the superficial, because underneath are empty, lost, debauched souls. And that industry purports to deliver our cultural guidance. Ben Stein at The American Spectator today

For the usual attractive woman who comes out here, she is just catnip for the big tigers who roam the Hollywood jungle. And the women soon learn it and somehow adjust to it. My advice to all young women who come out to Hollywood is to not do it at all. Just stay back home in Baltimore. It’s too painful and difficult here for an attractive young woman who appears without money and without family connections. It’s like a college campus where the professors just give out Easy A’s for any girl who will be their play thing — only the rewards here can be money, fame, prestige. The girls — young women — are moths to the flame and then they just either leave or accustom themselves to it. Or, they stay true to themselves and somehow either make it or don’t.

But, again, to be surprised that Harvey Weinstein is in trouble for sexual harassment is like being surprised that there is baseball going on at Yankee Stadium.

Matt Damon reportedly called the New York Times and buffaloed that newspaper into pulling a story it was going to publish on Weinstein’s abuses of women. That happened, supposedly, back in 2004.

So here’s Damon’s buddy Ben Affleck, who’s shocked – shocked, he says – to read about Weinstein’s behavior.

Yeah, right. He’s saddened and angry because he had no idea about any of this 15 years ago.

Meryl Streep, who once called Weinstein a “god,” also denounced him today.

And then there is this, which for sheer pathos cannot be touched…

None of this is a surprise. All of these people are slime. They traded in their souls years – decades – ago so they could make lots of money pretending to be other people. You can’t even blame some of them for that – given the knowledge that in reality they were willing to traffic with monsters and excuse monstrosity. Pretend life is better, even with the perks of suborning evil.

Here’s an exit observation – besides pushing Democrat politics on the public through his campaign fundraising and his leftist agitprop movies in the same way he pushed his private parts on his unwilling victims, Harvey Weinstein’s favorite pet causes where, what?

Gun control and Planned Parenthood, that’s what?

Why is that, do you think? A serial sexual abuser who doesn’t want his victims carrying guns and who wants abortion on demand so he can pay them to make whatever little problems he leaves behind go away.

If Harvey Weinstein isn’t the exact personification of the limousine-liberal Left, there is no such thing in existence.
