“It is a measure of how much we have regressed that, on the day that we celebrate the life of Dr. King, four members of the Congressional Black Caucus announced that they will boycott the State of the Union Address. First, why do we even have a “Black Caucus?” And second, where is that spirit of ‘racial reconciliation’ that John Lewis often talks about? The hatred that some Black representatives harbor of President Trump is idiotic, unwarranted and harmful to the nation.”
