Americans who are proud of the National Anthem took to the Twitterverse to post their outrage and boycott of Nike, for recognizing unemployed Colin Kaeperneck for his advocacy to kneel during the National Anthem as a form of protest.
One man tweeted:
“First the @NFL forces me to choose between my favorite sport and my country. I chose country. Then @Nike forces me to choose between my favorite shoes and my country. Since when did the American Flag and the National Anthem become offensive?”
Another tweeted a video of himself putting five pairs of his Nikes into a fire.
.@Nike Due to your support of C.K. in your coming adds, I as an American can no longer support your company. #boycottNike #IStandForOurFlag pic.twitter.com/5JxSMD8SSO

A retired Marine posted a photo of his Nike socks with the logo cut off:
Our Soundman just cut the Nike swoosh off his socks. Former marine. Get ready @Nike multiply that by the millions. pic.twitter.com/h8kj6RXe7j

Geraldo Rivera chimed in and called Nike the New Coke.

Still another:
Do not act shocked NIKE would promote Colin Kaepernick!
Nike is the same company that built a playground at Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center that trained the Fort Hood shooter & two of the 9/11 hijackers. Their head imam recommended cutting off a young girls labia & clitoris (FGM).

Another:
Hey Nike, this is what it looks like to sacrifice everything. These men sacrifice their very lives so Collin has the freedom to disrespect our flag & our country. can’t figure out who is a bigger disgrace Collin or Nike for glorifying this nonsense. never buy Nike products again! pic.twitter.com/uiA5g1C7Ds

And more just kept on commenting:
Kaepernick sacrificed what in light of his having a net worth of $20 million & still being paid by Nike?
Let me tell you who did "do it" Nike, Patrick Daniel "Pat" Tillman left the NFL & gave his life for this country, that's sacrifice to the core something Kaepernick cant touch— GM Casey (@MaxVeritas7) September 4, 2018
