Americans launch boycott against Nike, burning shoes campaign goes viral

Americans who are proud of the National Anthem took to the Twitterverse to post their outrage and boycott of Nike, for recognizing unemployed Colin Kaeperneck for his advocacy to kneel during the National Anthem as a form of protest.

One man tweeted:

“First the  forces me to choose between my favorite sport and my country. I chose country. Then  forces me to choose between my favorite shoes and my country. Since when did the American Flag and the National Anthem become offensive?”

Another tweeted a video of himself putting five pairs of his Nikes into a fire.

A retired Marine posted a photo of his Nike socks with the logo cut off:

Geraldo Rivera chimed in and called Nike the New Coke.
