Many of our readers remember the old Red Bayou Show podcast Hayride publisher Scott McKay teamed with Brian Haldane to produce on a weekly basis a few years back. The Red Bayou Show went on a hiatus after Haldane signed on with Talk 107.3 FM and 104.5 FM ESPN radio as a producer, and time constraints made the show impractical. Well, after a hiatus of more than a year, Haldane and McKay are back, bigger than ever!

The new iteration of the podcast isn’t The Red Bayou Show anymore. It’s Hayride Radio, and it’ll appear four days a week – 10-15 minute podcast segments on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday catching up on current events, and an hour-long weekend show which will feature guests to discuss topics of interest in detail.

Accordingly, in the debut episode of Hayride Radio, Hosts Scott McKay and Brian Haldane speak with House Speaker Taylor Barras and LABI President Stephen Waguespack. The guys talk about priorities for the upcoming session, what the Speaker has his eyes on, what bills will garner the most attention and more.
