We’re Just Three Weeks Away From The Hayride’s Metairie Extravaganza!

In just three weeks from today, we’ll be in Metairie for a star-studded dinner event to continue the 2019 @Large Tour. And you need to make it a point to join us – with only one more day to enjoy early-bird ticket pricing. Here’s a link to reserve your seat.

The Hayride’s Metairie tour stop will be headlined by Fox News contributor, author and Townhall.com columnist Kurt Schlichter, whose freewheeling, take-no-prisoners conservatism is sure to delight. Schlichter, the author of Militant Normals: How Regular Americans Are Rebelling Against the Elite to Reclaim Our Democracy, I Am a Liberal: A Conservative’s Guide to Dealing With Nature’s Most Irritating Mistake, I Am a Conservative: Uncensored, Undiluted and Absolutely Un-PC, Conservative Insurgency50 Shades of Liberal and Fetch My Latte: Sharing Feelings With Stupid People, is rapidly becoming one of the conservative movement’s most fearless, authentic voices – especially at a time when the Left is increasingly aggressive in attempting to silence those with bold opinions. Schlichter has written three novels outlining a vision of what such a politically correct future would look like – People’s RepublicIndian Country and Wildfire.

Also on hand at the Metairie tour stop will be Louisiana’s most recognizable and quotable political figure, Sen. John Neely Kennedy. A statewide elected official since 1999, Kennedy spent 17 years as Louisiana’s Treasurer, becoming the state’s junior Senator following his election in 2016 when he defeated Democrat Foster Campbell by a whopping 61-39 margin. It was Kennedy’s third attempt at a Senate seat, following losses to David Vitter in 2004 and Mary Landrieu in 2008. Since his election Kennedy has shown Louisiana voters what they were missing by leaving him out of the world’s greatest deliberative body, delivering his trademark brand of common sense and homespun logic to Washington with a distinctive flair.

We’ll also be giving the first of the Hayride’s Legislative Lion Awards, a recognition to those members of the Louisiana House or Senate who have completed a 12-year term standing for the conservative principles in such desperately short supply at the state capitol. To find out the winner of the first Legislative Lion, you’ll have to join us on August 15.
