The Hayride’s Metairie Event Is TONIGHT! Got Your Tickets Yet?

Our annual Hayride dinner in Metairie is all set for August 23. That’s tonight. There are still tickets available, so you can still snap yours up here.

It’ll be held at Metairie Country Club as it’s always been.

The event will be a showcase of sorts for Hayride publisher Scott McKay’s new book The Revivalist Manifesto. Scott’s going to talk a bit about the book and how it relates to current events, something which so far is almost eerie. Guests of our premium front-row table sponsors will receive free signed copies, but signed copies will also be available at the event for $25. But if you’ve got a copy already, Scott will happily sign it for you following the event’s conclusion.

Also booked is Public Service Commissioner and dear friend of The Hayride Eric Skrmetta.

But our headline speaker is a member of Louisiana’s congressional delegation and a high-ranking House Republican leadership official. House ethics rules don’t allow us to advertise their appearances in advance if it’s a for-profit event, but you can probably guess as to who we’re talking about as we make announcements about the August 23 event. If not, here’s a hint: truth be told, he’s got a hell of a good podcast.

The format will be our tried-and-true one: we’ll have a cocktail hour starting at 6 p.m. and dinner and the program will begin at 7, subject to getting everyone in their seats in a timely manner, and we’ll have everyone on their way by 8:30 or 9:00.

And yes, you can order your tickets now. Here’s a link to do that. Tickets are $80 apiece, with a max order of four.

This is the penultimate Hayride event of 2022. We’ll have one more, which will take place on Nov. 9, the day after the midterm elections, in St. Tammany Parish. Details on that one to come later.
