LOL! Coach Isn’t Safe For Black Women, According To Destroya

There’s so much we can do with this, but we’ll leave it to the reader’s imagination. We promise we’ll be good, and not get snippy or combative over the absurd implication that a black woman who’s the mayor of a major city isn’t safe on a transatlantic flight unless she’s in business class.

The Democrat mayor of New Orleans, Louisiana, said this week economy flights are not safe for black women.

In addition, LaToya Cantrell has said she would not repay money spent on a first-class trip from Washington Dulles Airport to Switzerland over the summer, Meaww reported Sunday.

“My travel accommodations are a matter of safety, not of luxury,” she claimed during a press conference on Thursday:

As all women know, our health and safety are often disregarded and we are left to navigate alone. As the mother of a young child whom I live for, I am going to protect myself by any reasonable means in order to ensure I am there to see her grow into the strong woman I am raising her to be. Anyone who wants to question how I protect myself just doesn’t understand the world black women walk in.

Officials were reportedly trying to determine if the mayor must repay almost $30,000 in taxpayer monies for the trips to France and Switzerland.

Cantrell responded when asked about the issue, saying the expenses would not be reimbursed to the city, adding, “One thing is clear; I do my job and I will continue to do it with distinction and integrity every step of the way.”

In case you didn’t catch the video of this masterpiece, here it is…

One imagines that a transatlantic flight is a whole lot safer place for a black woman than the streets of LaToya Cantrell’s New Orleans, but that’s just us white people talking.

Meanwhile, the recall effort aimed at ridding New Orleans of LaToya Cantrell and fronted by a pair of black Democrats continues apace…

And that’s why Cantrell’s house organ the New Orleans Times-Picayune has deployed its house mouthpiece Will Sutton to pimp for her…

Sutton is probably correct that the recall effort won’t get its 54,000 signatures. Recall efforts in Louisiana historically never pan out.

But Cantrell probably ought to shut up if she wants that recall to die. Every time she opens her mouth she gives it new life.

Getting on any more airplanes, whether in business class or coach at this point, probably isn’t a good idea, either. Nobody thinks Destroya is saving New Orleans by jet-setting around and “promoting” the city’s “culture.”
