As our readers know, Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and his counterpart in Missouri (initially, it was current U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt) have sued Google and Facebook and the Biden administration over the collusion between government and Big Tech to censor people who would otherwise use social media to challenge the approved narratives on things like COVID-19 and the Hunter Biden laptop.

It’s the suit which produced the Anthony Fauci deposition, as you might remember.

In any event, there has been a development in the case – and a result from it. A press release from Landry’s office this morning…

In explosive documents released by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, email evidence shows the White House pressuring Facebook to censor Tucker Carlson.

Email chains (available to view and download here) between the government and the social media platform show that a viral video by the popular television host was demoted 50% pending a 7-day fact checking period and that the demotion continued by Facebook even though no “fact checking” actually occurred.

“Government censorship is bipartisan; if they don’t like you, they will censor you – regardless of your political affiliation,” warned Attorney General Landry. “No one is safe when the First Amendment is violated.”

Today’s revelation is part of the latest court-ordered discovery documents released in the landmark lawsuit filed by the attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri alleging top-ranking Biden officials colluding with social media giants to suppress free speech.

“Throughout our case, we have uncovered disturbing collusion between Big Tech and Big Government,” added Attorney General Landry. “Today’s reveal is yet another example of the ongoing coercive efforts by the White House to pressure social media companies into censoring American citizens.”

This isn’t something we weren’t aware of. Everybody pretty much knew about the federal government’s coercion of social media platforms to squelch dissent when it was initially happening.

This is just proof of it. You can’t deny it anymore. It’s out in the open and it isn’t a conspiracy theory. It’s an established truth.

The old argument that Facebook and Twitter and Google, etc. are private companies and they can do what they want? That’s over. It was always a fraud. Those companies might well be run by leftist wannabe tyrants, but outright censorship is bad business and everybody knows it.

What was really happening was flat-out illegality, by which your government was stifling your fellow citizens as they pursued the truth online.

And now we’re past the point of denials. Where we are now is what the consequences will be.

This lawsuit gets more interesting every week. It might be the most important piece of litigation in modern American history.
