It’s actually a mashup of a bunch of things Kennedy has said since the Biden administration assumed power, but it goes together in an interesting way.

Of course, Kennedy has been one of the most persistent gadflies on Capitol Hill carping – accurately and justifiably, we might add – on the total failure of the federal government to secure the southern border. And he does so with his classic razor-sharp, down-home wit, in such a way that it’s virtually impossible to rebut the things he says.

But we know that Team Biden isn’t interested in rebutting anything Kennedy says. They aren’t interested in winning the argument, they’re interested in applying raw political power to the American people to force us into a lower standard of living. Deluging the country with seven to 10 million new illegal immigrants, nearly all of them unskilled and mostly unassimilable, will depress wages, collapse social services and cause civil instability – which is what they want. A desperate citizenry can be governed in crisis mode, and in crisis mode people stop caring about niceties like civil liberty, upward social mobility, checks and balances on government and other basic staples of a constitutional society.

Kennedy likes the constitutional society. And he isn’t going to let Team Biden get away with shredding it without at least registering some well-reasoned and strongly-worded complaints.
