MARSH MAN MASSON: See Marsh Fish CRUNCH This Bait!

There are several factors I look for to find fish in the marshes this time of year: 1. clean water; 2. moving water; 3. baitfish or white shrimp. If that moving water happens to be from a falling tide, it’s a million times better, and if all those factors happen to combine in an area that’s 2 1/2 feet deep or less, there’s one lure that really can’t be beat.

A Bill Lewis Echo 1.75 crankbait.

This lure wobbles on three axes, and for whatever reason, that movement just drives fish crazy.

I had gotten away from the lure in recent months, opting for its close cousin, the SB-57, but on a trip this week to Hopedale, the water depth was perfect for it.
