Louisiana Freedom Caucus PAC Announces Nov. 18 Legislative Race Endorsements

Editor’s Note: a press release from the Louisiana Freedom Caucus PAC

BATON ROUGE – On Tuesday, November 7, the Louisiana Freedom Caucus PAC (LAFCPAC) announced the endorsement of 11 conservative candidates in the November 18 runoff elections for the Louisiana legislature.
“Louisiana is choosing a revolution in how it governs itself,” said LAFCPAC director Scott McKay. “We saw it with the results of the primary election on October 14, when the people of the state not only overwhelmingly elected Jeff Landry over a crowded field of gubernatorial candidates but in legislative races across the state. Voters are choosing not just the most conservative candidates they can find, but they’re demanding real substantive change as well.
“It’s not enough to put an ‘R’ next to your name anymore. If we’re going to catch up to Texas, Florida, Tennessee and other Southern states which have engaged in conservative reform and seen it work, then we have to emulate or even surpass them in making policy. And you can’t do that without strong leaders committed to the cause.”
Seven of the 11 candidates on LAFCPAC’s endorsement list earned the PAC’s support in primary races. All are House candidates. They include…
Tammi Fabre (District 18)
Jessica Domangue (District 53)
Kellee Hennessy Dickerson (District 64)
Dixon McMakin (District 68)
Peter Egan (District 74)
Kim Carver (District 89)
Brian Glorioso (District 90)
Two of the seven are running against Republican incumbents. Fabre faces “Jumpin'” Jeremy Lacombe, a Democrat who switched parties earlier this year in a cynical effort to save his re-election, while Glorioso is running against “Casino Mary” Dubuisson, whose voting record is considerably outside the mainstream of Republican legislators.
In addition, LAFCPAC is announcing four new legislative endorsements for the runoffs…
Lauren Ventrella (District 65)
Emily Chenevert (District 66)
Mike Bayham (District 103)
Jacob Braud (District 105)

“The Louisiana Freedom Caucus PAC represents an optimistic and conservative view of government the way our Founders intended it to be,” said LAFCPAC board member Hollis Day. “These endorsed candidates express that same view in the role of government, in that it stays limited and not always expanding.  The Louisiana Freedom Caucus PAC has made an impact in these races and will continue to have an impact once these conservative candidates are sworn into office in 2024.

In the primary election, LAFCPAC endorsed 39 candidates in legislative races, engaging voters with well over 600,000 text messages and millions of web impressions. LAFCPAC endorsees won 22 races outright, with the seven other aforementioned candidates still running.
