KOENIG: Where is Louisiana’s Dusty Deevers?

A few weeks ago, Leftist hacks at the Rolling Stone published a hit job on Oklahoma state senator Dusty Deevers. Sen Deevers was elected to the Oklahoma state senate last fall and is set to start proposing legislation in Oklahoma’s state senate this month. Before he ran for elected office, Deevers served as a Christian pastor and an advocate for the abortion-abolition movement.

Back in May 2022, Deevers traveled all the way from Oklahoma to support Rep McCormick’s pro-life, “abolition of abortion in Louisiana” bill (HB 813, 2022). Senator Deevers has done good work in helping Louisiana in the past, and he deserves our support during these “cancellation attempts” from the radical Left.

As is typical, the Rolling Stone and Right Wing Watch dishonestly smeared Sen Deevers for his Christian beliefs and convictions. Their dishonest reporting has led to increased harassment and threats toward Sen Deevers, his family, and his church.

However, Sen Deevers has not backed down from these media attacks. Instead, he has defended his common-sense, Biblically-based views. He posted a thorough rebuttal to the Rolling Stone‘s article on his Twitter/X account.

Senator Deevers has also posted some witty replies that mock Right Wing Watch‘s recent attacks against him on Twitter/X:

Despite these attacks, Sen Deevers is continuing to promote legislation that will benefit the people of Oklahoma. In fact, he has proposed bills in the Oklahoma legislature to eliminate the state income tax (SB 2031), limiting no-fault divorce (SB 1958), protecting the rights of the unborn (SB 1729), lowering sales taxes on groceries (SB 2037), and banning the production of smut in Oklahoma (SB 1976).

At this point, I wonder where is Louisiana’s version of Senator Dusty Deevers. The Louisiana legislature needs to seriously consider many of the policy proposals coming from him. No-fault divorce, pornography, onerous taxes, illegal immigration, drugs, and other issues have ruined the lives of countless Louisiana citizens. So, my hope is that the Louisiana legislature plans to seriously look at these neglected issues in the Louisiana legislature’s come the regular session.

While cancel culture does still exist, our country’s globalist, “America Last” Regime does not cancel people as effectively as it once did. Case-in-point, CNN’s failed attempt to “cancel” Hayride editor Scott McKay and his book The Revivalist Manifesto a couple of months ago. Even though Rolling Stone and Right Wing Watch have ruthlessly smeared Sen Deevers’s good name, their attempt to cancel him has failed. He has not caved to the woke mob and has received support and encouragement from Christians all over the country. In fact, Sen Deevers reported that Americans from all 50 states have donated to his reelection campaign–including Louisiana!

God Bless Senator Deevers for his good work, and let’s take his situation as encouragement to promote a pro-Christian, Louisiana First agenda.
