Yes, this is a tongue-in-cheek post. It’s a play on this fundraising message his campaign sent out…
Right, OK.
It is pretty interesting, though – Cassidy is doing everything he can to signal how much he hates doing these things he has to do. His caterwauling about the vote to confirm Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in the Senate Finance Committee, where he was almost screeching about Kennedy’s vaccine skepticism, was almost comical. Everybody knows that Cassidy can’t politically afford to offend either Donald Trump or his voters, who make up practically everyone within the GOP primary electorate lying in wait for Cassidy next year.
So you get things like this…
I look forward to working closely with Secretary Kennedy to improve the health of all Americans. I voted yes on RFK.

Which leads to this…

And this…
IMO Senator Bill Cassidy should be investigated for any potential conflicts of interest in regards to his fervent desire to protect the reputation and use of vaccines in the US.
The conditions he set for RFK Jr to receive his vote are very revealing in more ways than one. pic.twitter.com/3WoJf73Uvl

Is Cassidy getting much credit for his epiphany on Kennedy? Well, there’s an awful lot of this…
After your shameful attempt to make yourself relevant, injecting your personal gain and big pharma ways into this, you will be removed from your seat.

And he’s doing everything he can to change the subject. Here he is talking about Linda McMahon’s confirmation process as Education Secretary when that whole department is subject to being tossed – something which sends official Washington into paroxysms. Trump called the whole department a “scam” this week, which Simply Cannot Be Said.
But Cassidy’s the Trumpiest Trump Who Ever Trumped on education, so…
The federal government accounts for a small amount of the funding going toward education, but it's responsible for a vast majority of the red tape preventing communities from improving education. Something is wrong, and something should change.
Great confirmation hearing today… pic.twitter.com/EAAZuPTFYP

You’re going to see nothing but this stuff for the next year and change. Cassidy’s political life depends on currying as much favor with the MAGA movement as he can.
The real question is can he climb this hill.
We don’t think so. But we’ll find out.
