McCORMICK: I’m With Thomas Massie On The Epstein Files Disclosures

Editor’s Note: a guest post from Louisiana Rep. Danny McCormick (R-Shreveport).

I usually don’t wade into federal politics—but when elected officials use their power to protect predators and silence the truth, I can’t sit on the sidelines. As a father, grandfather, and Christian, I am compelled to speak out.

Congressman Thomas Massie is standing up for the victims of one of the most horrific crimes imaginable—and for that, he was attacked by Speaker Mike Johnson. It is especially troubling that Speaker Johnson chose to invoke scripture in an attempt to discredit someone taking a morally courageous stand. Scripture should never be weaponized to silence those seeking truth and justice or protect the powerful.

Let’s be clear: Jeffrey Epstein ran a child sex trafficking ring for the rich and powerful. His death in federal custody was suspicious. The guards failed. The cameras failed. The story doesn’t add up—and everyone knows it. Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of trafficking children to no one. No clients. No prosecutions. No accountability. And now the federal government is hiding the flight logs, sealed court files, and key evidence from the American people. That is a cover-up—plain and simple.

Those files contain the names of the elites who exploited minors and used their power to stay protected. If those names were released, it would shake Washington, Hollywood, and Wall Street to the core. That’s why they’re being buried. Not to protect victims—but to shield the guilty.

Speaker Johnson didn’t just criticize Massie—he shut down Congress early to dodge the vote. It’s one thing to be silent. It’s another to actively stand in the way of truth and justice. That raises serious questions about who he’s really protecting.

Here in Louisiana, we live by Christian, conservative values—truth, justice, and defending the innocent. Our duty is to protect the least among us, not defend the wolves.

I stand proudly with Congressman Thomas Massie—a man of conviction, courage, and principle—as he fights to release the Epstein files and shine a light on evil that has been hidden far too long.

Louisiana demands truth. Louisiana demands justice. Speaker Johnson—do the right thing. Release the Epstein files. Expose the predators. Let justice roll like a river.
