It’s a tale of two cities. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

The best of times reflect the courage of the people of Tehran, willing to sacrifice all to enjoy the same freedoms and stability of our society, underpinned by a fundemental respect for law.
The worst of times is on display in Minneapolis where the Progressive Left abuses the rights guaranteed by our First Amendment in order to rebel against the foundation of our nation, our trust in democratically created law.

Iranians have no choice but to fight the theocratic monster that suppresses their freedom. Progressives have a option, instead of engaging in civil unrest they can employ the very rights that Iranians would die for. Unlike their Iranian counterparts American Progressives can demoncratically change law through Congressional legislation.

Of course it is not lost on me that strategy on display in the streets of Minneapolis is well worn strategy from the standard Progressive, even Marxist, playbook. In order to subvert democracy the modus operandi is to push the limits of civility right up to the edge of violence and to dishonor those whose duty is to keep peace and enforce law. Worse, somewhere in the shadows, sinister, well financed, puppetmasters, bent on ending our constitutional form of government, quietly pull the strings of their footsoldiers.

Need proof? The next time the Left’s compliant ally, the media, covers a near riot, observe how many communist, antisemitic, and foreign flags and banners are on display. Observe the scarity of American flags, except those being burned.

Iranians literally are dying for what we have. The actions of well financed, well organized activists in Minneapolis seek to do violence to what Iranians so passionately want to emulate.
Clearly out of respect for our American form of democracy we must honor the Iranian best of times, and question the Minneapolis worst of times.
