The diary entries of Dr. Anthony Fauci during Covid are reprehensible. Beyond his vanity and self-aggrandizing, they reflect his dishonesty.
Remember the Covid lockdown? “Follow the science?” The contradictory things Fauci said? There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask. However, CDC soon recommended masks for everyone. Still later, Fauci stated that wearing two masks made “common sense.” Remember requiring forced vaccinations of a brand new, completely unproven vaccine that has since been shown to have dangerous side effects?
Remember the censoring and cancellation of countless medical experts and American citizens who sought to express different views, which have since been proven correct.
Remember the many who died; families torn apart. Great financial hardship imposed on ordinary Americans. Loved ones dying alone as families were prevented from visiting nursing homes and hospitals. Liquor stores, pot dispensaries, and abortion mills were humming while playgrounds were closed. Churches were shut down and worship was prohibited while the big box stores and casinos continued to operate.
Remember what we were told about the origins of the virus? The Biden administration and Fauci lied. It leaked from the Chinese bio lab in Wuhan. Period. However, under oath, Fauci told Senator Rand Paul: The NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Yet, the opposite was true.
The Wall Street Journal notes,”… Fauci was both wrong and dishonest. For instance, he and his allies … still cling to the theory that Covid-19 evolved naturally in animal populations before spreading to humans. Yet, … his diary records a meeting with a dozen prominent virologists in which only two credited this ‘natural origins’ theory. The rest suspected the virus might have been created artificially, not least because a leading scientist in Wuhan … was known to engage in the sort of gain-of-function research that could produce such a result.” (WSJ, 7-28-26). In fact, ” … documents shed light on how Dr. Fauci orchestrated publication of a scientific paper to suppress the theory that Covid leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.” (Id.)
However, then there was the letter.
NIH Deputy Director, Dr. Lawrence Tabak, confirmed to Congress that a “limited experiment” at the Wuhan lab had tested whether … bat coronaviruses could bind to human cells in a mouse model. The same letter confirmed that the U.S.-funded group, EcoHealth Alliance, had violated the terms of its grant by failing to report that American money funded experiments in Wuhan—the precise category of work Fauci had sworn, under oath, we did not fund.
Senator Paul contends “Fauci repeatedly testified before Congress that the NIH did not fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute; however, NIH documents and grant records reveal that NIH did support research that enhanced the transmissibility of bat coronaviruses, which meets the NIH’s own definition of gain-of-function.”
Dr. Richard Ebright asserts, regarding the NIH-funded work by EcoHealth Alliance, “Fauci emphatically denied that money went toward so-called ‘gain of function’ research. Fauci now has lied to Congress three times on the same subject. Knowingly, willfully, and brazenly. And, so far, with complete impunity.”
Fauci brags of persuading California Governor Gavin Newsom and then-New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio “to shut down schools and lock down large parts of the economy.” (Id.). Yet, “he later claimed in public that he never argued for locking anything down.” Fauci also “attempted to freeze lockdown skeptics out of policy making roles … referring to them as stooges.” (Id.)
All false. Fauci lied and people died.
Masks and social distancing were a hoax. Lockdowns were unnecessary but devastating. mRNA shots were dangerous; the fatality rate was low except for groups with serious comorbidities, or those over 55; Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine worked; Covid came from the Wuhan lab. Millions died; millions more suffered needlessly while Fauci, whose arrogance is exceeded only by his narcissism, gloated about the praise and notoriety he was receiving.
We owe Senator Paul great gratitude for years of digging into the Covid story to understand why the government’s response was so mismanaged and damaging.
The “experts” allowed catastrophic economic and social harm to be done to our people and our country. This can never happen again.
Fauci may face legal punishment. The States could move against him. His federal pardon only covers federal offenses. Regardless, he should be held in Contempt of Congress which will never adequately reflect how deserving he is of the contempt of the nation.
