CHAMPAGNE RECEIVES PRO-BUSINESS ENDORSEMENT

WESTPAC, one of four political action arms of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, has announced its endorsement of Representative Simone Champagne for re-election to House District 49 in Iberia and Vermilion parishes. In its letter of endorsement, WESTPAC said that Champagne’s pro-business voting record, along with her commitment to working hard for the businesses not only in her district but across the entire state of Louisiana, led to the unanimous endorsement by WESTPAC’s board at a recent meeting.

Ginger Sawyer, executive director of WESTPAC, said that Champagne is among the hardest working members of the House of Representatives and strives to balance her work in Baton Rouge with taking care of her constituents back home. “This past four years has been a difficult time for anyone in public service. Not only has Champagne had to help balance the state’s budget, but she has also worked with her constituents who have been so negatively affected by hurricanes, floods, and other problems.”

“We are very fortunate that the voters in HD 49 have chosen to send Rep. Champagne to Baton Rouge to represent them. We hope they will do it again on October 22,” Sawyer concluded.
