When your entire family devours fish like a termite does wood, sometimes you’ve got to put sophisticated fishing on hold, and just go on a meat haul. That’s what I did this week, toting along my 6-year-old grandson, Liam, for his first-ever real fishing trip on a boat.
We left the lures in the tackle box, and baited up with dead shrimp, hoping to catch some of the tastiest fish available in Louisiana’s waters. As it turned out, the day couldn’t possibly have gone any better.
