Apparently, there were no deaths as a result of this, other than a dog found perished at the scene. A man was pulled from the rubble, however; all or part of 20 different buildings were damaged.

It happened in Alphen aan den Rijn, a town in the southern part of the Netherlands, and a construction company was using two cranes on a barge to move a bridge segment. But they weren’t balanced quite right, as you’ll see, and the result is something bound to show up on a future episode of Engineering Disasters.
