Vitter: Obama Shows True Colors On Health Care Reconciliation

U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) issued the following statement after President Barack Obama announced today that he favors using the reconciliation procedure to pass his healthcare “reforms”…

“Well, the president talked a great deal about bipartisanship during the health care summit last week, but it’s now clear that was just to distract attention away from his purely partisan strategy – forcing Obamacare down our throats using the unprecedented reconciliation process.”

“No amount of speeches and media events can hide the fact that President Obama and his liberal congressional allies are simply refusing to listen to the American people, who have made it abundantly clear that they don’t want the federal government to take over our health care system.”

    But Senator, haven't you been listening to the president? The Democrats are so much smarter than the American people, and know so much better than we do what is best for us, that they must pass this for our own good despite the fact that in our ignorance we are opposed to it.

    It is amazing that the executive branch is telling the legislative branch exactly how it has to do it's work. Does this sound like dictatorship? You will do what I want…how I want you to do it…when I want you to do it !!!!!!!!!!
    I think that they are relying on the fact that over 50% of the people have no concept of how many branches there are in the federal govt, and what these branches are….have we reached the point the the public is so uneducated and kept ignorant that they will let dictators do exactly as they please by whatever force they choose to wield???
