BREAKING: Senate Passes Presidential Primary Bill
Looks like Louisiana will have one which counts after all.
The vote was 27-9, with three abstentions. Republicans voting against were Norby Chabert, Johnathan Perry and Buddy Shaw. No idea why.
The issue became somewhat contentious last week when the bill stalled in a Senate committee amid procedural questions. Those were worked out, and by the weekend it was back on track to go to the floor today.
It’s expected Gov. Jindal will sign this one.

[...] Louisiana Primary: The State Senate has passed HB 509, which moves the Presidential primary to the first Saturday after the first Tuesday in March, which will be March 10th, right after Super Tuesday.
